Interesting bits of Doctor Who news

So, a Christmas special for 2011 and a series for 2012 have been confirmed by the BBC (tweeted by both DWM and Moffat). Both to include Matt Smith. No word as to whether either Karen or Arthur (or indeed Alex Kingston) will be involved, although realistically any time there's outdoor filming, pics will leak out... Personally, despite various rumours/speculation, I doubt either will be written out this year. But I could be wrong.

Also, Terry Pratchett has been tweeting elusively about some sort of meeting/discussion with Mr Moffat. What this all means is anyone's guess. It's unlikely that he'll be writing a Doctor Who episode (to the best of my knowledge he has no screenwriting experience; not that that would totally rule out the possibility, but it makes it unlikely). Maybe a Doctor Who novel, following on from Michael Moorcock's one and the one Stephen Baxter's doing?

And Roy Skelton, voice of the Daleks (and Zippy in Rainbow) has died. :o(
