royalmarriage: (Blake's 7 - Maximum Power!)

TV stuff.

So, there's a press release out for the new series of Being Human. All good stuff, mildly spoilery, but I don't notice any sign of a date. Mmph.

Speaking of which, when the heck's Christopher and his kind going to be transmitted? It's got bloomin' Doctor Who in it, for goodness' sake, BBC!

Apparently, a start date for Torchwood series 4 has been set (July 1st). I'm actually vaguely excited about this, despite a nasty feeling that it could be a complete mess.

The new series of The Hustle starts tonight. Sarah, I...suppose I might just be persuaded to very very grudgingly give you permission to watch it. Even if Leverage is miles better and I still can't work out what you see in Robert Vaughan... *g*

Now I've got all of Blake's 7 on DVD I'm sorely tempted to bung on Terminal tonight. Just because I can never get enough of Servalan's "MAXIMUM POWER" bit...

I shan't be watching Torchwood at all, not only because of Ianto but generally because of RTD and the decisions he's made with this series.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Although I miss Ianto I think his death was done well as a piece of drama (but by God I hoped he came back from the dead in the final episode), but I sort of feel they should have left it at the end of series 3 - making a new series seems a bit too much...

Me too, it felt like a natural conclusion for the show, but I think RTD has a habit of taking things too far and writing more despite creating natural endings for things (like Ten as the Doctor after 'Journey's End').

Is that for filming or airing?

Airing - filming's supposed to start in the next week or so, according to the report I read.

I'll watch Hustle, although it's not very good anymore since Danny left.

I'm still undecided about Torchwood. Jack and Gwen never interested me as characters and I'm not sure if I want to see a "different" TW, but I'll probably give it a try.

Glad to hear that Being Human got a new series though!

I approve of your Avon userpic!

That start date has now been confirmed as wrong from the bbc themselves.

They have started doing read through but not filming yet ( Tom, Kyi and John did not make it to the read through so I doubt that they are filming anything of importance yet at least.)

Some of my fave characters are still in it but if they kill of Rhys or Andy then I am gone.

I will watch it just to see what its like. Yes children of Earth did feel like a natural ending so for me this is torchwood point two now.
