Motorway woes.

Finally made it into work half an hour ago, after spending most of the morning stuck on the M1 or escaping from it. It was closed northbound between junctions 12 and 13 - there'd been an accident in the wee small hours of this morning - and at junction 12, all three lanes of traffic were filtered down into one, and then sent along the diversion, the A5120, which winds through a couple of little villages and is really not equipped to deal with a delayed morning rush hour traffic. Then the A507 which was a bit better except at the end when I lost track of the little yellow diamond diversion signs, and also seemed to lose my ability to read road signs in general, which coupled with the satnav giving up the ghost because it was having to cope with roundabouts which didn't exist when it was first programmed, meant that I took a couple of wrong turns before finally making my way back onto the M1.

Not a fun morning, for me and just about everyone else.

Home in four hours. Hardly seems worth it, but y'know...

Today, I shall mostly be...

...listening to lots of Pet Shop Boys music (so, very little change there, then) in celebration of the fact that it was 30 years ago day, in a hi-fi/electronic shop on Kings Road, that Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe first met.

Happy anniversary, boys!

I'd quite like...

...Sarah & I to get married again.

Just so I can wear these.
