Too pat. He didn't spend enough of the show angsting about it. Not enough Jonathan, way too much of that annoying bird from the bloody annoying 2 pints.
I think it would've worked much better as a 2 parter over 2 nights, myself, it dragged on too long. I'd forgotten about one of the mysteries when we suddenly switched back to it. A shame. And not enough made of the always-wonderful Katherine Parkinson either.
