I've worked out a possible career path.
I shall write an epic bad erotic fanfic based on a bad series of books, file off the serial numbers, and make a small fortune selling it as an original piece of erotica.
Now, to work out a series of books to base it on. Erm.
<thinks>
Okay, I can't think of anything bad. At least, not that I've read.
<thinks some more>
Okay, I was going to suggest something really off the wall like Noddy or the Thomas the Tank Engine books, and then I thought, how about Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt books? I mean, they are bad in some ways (mainly in a "Clive, do you realise that real people never talk like this??!" kind of a way...). Fanfic based on them could be interesting... Also, some of E E Doc Smith's books are kind of quaintly appalling...

Read a lot of E E 'Doc' Smith books... yeah "quaintly appalling" pretty much sums it up.

Whenever I think of anything really outlandish, I take comfort in the fact that somewhere out there there's Bagpuss slash... :-)

I really loved the '70s Pan editions of the various Skylark/Lensman books, mainly for the Chris Foss cover art. They were absolutely beautiful.
