Really?

With the caveat that I've not seen the video footage, but what I've heard about it on the radio and read at the Beeb's website makes it sounds pretty appalling, am I alone in thinking that seventeen months for this sounds really rather excessively lenient?

One for the Lord of the Rings fans, this...

So, I'd been at work about an hour when I noticed that my wedding ring wasn't in its customary place (specifically, ring finger, left hand). Panicked a bit, then texted Sarah to ask if she'd seen it, observing that I often take it off before showering so the bathroom would be a good place to check. She checked, and lo! and behold, it was where I thought it was.

So my next email to her advised her to, "keep it safe. Keep it secret."*

*ahem*

Films

Noticed on Sunday that there are not one but two films coming out based on the Snow White story - one, Mirror Mirror, looks like being pretty good fun*; the other, Snow White and the Huntsman, looks like it could be an interestingly dark take on the story. Mind you, IIRC the original is pretty dark anyway.

In the immediate future I'm quite keen to see The Muppets (with Sarah) and The Woman in Black. That'll be without Sarah, who doesn't want to see it. If anyone would like to come and see it with me so I can hide behind them during the scary bits that would be cool. I shall, I suspect, be seeing it strictly during dayime hours.
