Airfix - who back in my day did lots of plastic construction kits of planes and ships - have recently released a rather wonderful-looking model of the TARDIS with Doctor and Martha.
I haven't got it yet. I might, but that's not the point.
The point is, have you seen the adverts? There's one on the back cover of the latest SFX. Go and have a look. Specifically, check out the small print, which reads, "Daleks, Cybermen and K-9 (word marks and devices) are trade marks of the British Broadcasting Corporation and are used under licence".
Now the Daleks, Cybermen and K-9 don't feature anywhere in either the advertising or the TARDIS model kit itself, I'm thinking...future products? 'Cos I'm not that bothered about the Cybermen, but a Dalek would be fun (I had a Sevans one back in the '80s, but anything that's easier to construct would be appreciated), and as for K-9...I'm so there...
<looks forward eagerly>
David.
