Writer's Block: Let's try this again

The only one that really springs to mind is another adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett's A Little Princess - all the film versions so far have deviated quite a bit from the original plot, so a version which stuck to it more closely would be good. On the other hand, there's always the ITV 1987 adaptation for purists like myself.
I'd still like to see a set of adaptations of Clive Cussler books, which could involve remaking Sahara. I've not seen the original, so I can't judge how justified its negative reputation really is. (I doubt a remake of Raise the Titanic would be credible post-1985, or whenever it was that the wreck was actually discovered.)
And I guess a remake of the Star Wars prequels that were actually as good as the original three films would be a predictable suggestion...
But honestly, most of the films I love, I love because they were so good, and I can't think of any film I've seen that I'd want remade.
Oh, strike that - that horrendous adaptation of The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Yep. Remake that so that it's actually good. Please. And then do the rest of the books. With the possible exception of And Another Thing...
