Anyone else seen the Queen documentary Days of our lives that aired over a couple of nights this weekend just gone? Just finished watching it, and...what a wonderful documentary. Loads of rare archive footage. Some bits I thought were a bit rushed, like the Kind of Magic album (no mention of it, or Highlander for that matter, just straight from One Vision to the Magic tour), so I'm hoping for an extended DVD release. And it was a lovely tribute to Freddie, and amazing hearing of how the more ill he got, the more he threw himself into his work. Hard not to cry on hearing These are the days of our lives - thank God they didn't play it in full, I'd've been a blubbering wreck by the end.

We saw the second half, and I saw about quarter of the first half on iPlayer (will catch up during the week). Brilliant stuff.

The guy in charge of making it reckons there will be an extended DVD release, aye, because there was so much archive footage they couldn't use.
