A bit of nostalgia.

I saw The Flaming Mussolinis performing My Cleopatra on The Laughter Show (as presented by Les Dennis & Dustin Gee, if anyone remembers that?) back in 1985. Thought it was a fabulous song, went out and bought the single (who says TV doesn't have an influence on teenagers?), and it promptly did...absolutely nothing in the charts.

But I've just been reminded how much I loved the song whilst doing my whole 7" singles -> mp3 thingy, and found this little clip of them on Youtube, so I thought I'd share it. Apparently the lead singer is now teaching history somewhere or other. Someone on Youtube has compared him to Hugh Grant, but I'm thinking more Richard E..?
