I'm thinking...I'd like to see Slumdog Millionaire (although I'm not 100% sure after [livejournal.com profile] sunlightdances' posted her thoughts on it...), and also Prayers for Bobby and Milk look like they could be interesting. Question is, which would be best to take my mum to see (if any)? I mean, I'd really love to see Defiance, 'cos I like Daniel Craig, but mum doesn't seem too keen.

Slumdog Millionairre, is really good. We saw it this week. Just don't go in expecting the happy-go-lucky feelgood film it's being marketed as and you'll be fine!

That Dev Patel used to go to the school I teach at. Many of my colleagues taught him!

I just saw Defiance yesterday, and it was amazing!

But then again, I have a soft spot for Jamie Bell and just about everything he does >_>

*points* Everything [livejournal.com profile] the_barlow said. I went in with the wrong impression, and was thus kind of knocked sideways.

Yeah, Slumdog rawks. But it's very grim throughout an awful lot of it. God knows why it was marketed as a feel-good film. Mama Mia it ain't (thank crikey).

Frost/Nixon's out too, and that's bloody brilliant. Take yer mum to see that.
