And what the heck is "the local IHOP"? - ETA: thanks to tree_and_leaf and megamole for explaining that "IHOP" is "International House of Pancakes", an American chain of restaurants. That's one I wouldn't mind expanding to the UK. Although at some point, as a good old Matthew Swift fan, I have to check out My Old Dutch...
